Absolutely amazing experience in a proper berber setting. Authentic, warm and very clean. Massive room for two of us, private bathroom. Very impressed. Beautiful setting, peaceful and tranquil, awesome open air courtyard to sit under the stars. 5 min walk to star wars site, lovely peaceful picturesque walk. Cleaning staff and other day staff friendly and helpful and smiling.

A unique experience, highly recommended! Habib and his family were very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The dinner and breakfast were also (by far) the best meals we've had during our entire 10-day trip across Tunisia. Would definitely make a point of returning there if we make it to this part of the world again.

Big kind welcome by Joseph. He understood what two weary cyclist needed after a day in 35+ temperatures. Even let us choose from two big apartments and threw in a free breakfast at five!! In the morning so we could start pedaling in agreeable temperatures.. big 10 out of 10

This is by far one of the most special places we’ve been to. I read a review where one said it was worth the 500 km detour from Tunis, I’ll give you a better one: it’s worth a 4000 km detour from Amsterdam! The setting, the views, the amazing rooms, the village itself, the location, the hospitality and company and above all, the delicious dinner and breakfast. It was perfect from start to finish. Fathi welcomed us to his home and his family as If we were part of it. The project he is trying to develop in Toujane is very beautiful and it is inspiring to see how they live and see the life. He showed us around the village and although it wasn't in our plans to visit it, it was definitely worth the time! The house is beautiful and authentic and you will be more than comfortable in this strange yet amazing room. And the food they cook is homemade and delicious! True Tunisian food. I suggest everyone to go see this place and meet him, his family and his amazing friend Musa, who's soul is definitely a young and beautiful one. Hope to see you all again!

Very unique room that stays cold in the most extreme summer heat. Very friendly and helpful staff. Amazing dinner with an affordable price. A small desk in the room, I used it for journaling. Everything you need. Couldn't recommend it more to anyone passing by Matmata.
