Xanthos Patara Boutique Hotel was an awesome experience. A very clean, very cozy space with an amazing breakfast buffet, delicious local food and menu options for dinner. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I liked the overall atmosphere, there were grapetrees and palm trees around. Next to the Pool there were hammocks, a cozy sitting corner with cushions, a bar and an amazing view. Sunsets were breathtaking. I was very fond of the tiny balcony of the room. The rooms were spacious and clean, with nice wall decoration, clean bathroom and tiny paintings to indicate the doors numbers 😊 really loved the detail. Within five minutes by food we could reach the center of the village, and it took five minutes by car to reach the beach.

An absolute, hidden gem of authentic Turkish hospitality. I booked with a bit of anxiety, as the photos do not necessarily look very appealing, but the rooms and bathrooms are renovated, with efficient air-conditioning and nice decorations. The pool area is also very clean and inviting, there are multiple spaces to relax and suntan, pool towels are of course provided. But the best thing are the hosts - they greeted us as if we were their friends, long unseen, provided with useful tips and info about the area, made us feel truly at home. And oh, the food! Ayse is an amazing cook, after the first dinner we have not eaten anywhere else for the four days we spent there. So, avoid if you want to lose weight, you will not be able to with her delectable dishes 😀 Tip: the rooms on the top floor are the nicest, and the garden/pool side is the most quiet. There is a washing machine available, for a modest fee.

Very clean room. Minimalistic but stylish and cozy interior. The lack of a shower curtain could not be comfortable for any person, but if you have South and East Asia travel experience then it's not a problem for you. Beautiful backyard with plants and trees. Nice outdoor restaurant and bar. Pretty good breakfast. Our balcony view was stunning. The staff were friendly. It seems that they have invested a lot of energy and love in this place. I'd like to come back to Golden Lighthouse. And Patara is awesome

During the day there is a bit of hustle and bustle because the centre comes to life with shoppers, tourists and locals, but in the evening all goes quiet and tranquil. The motel is a 20 minute walk to Patara's beautiful seaside and on the way you can see Patara's ruins. The staff at the hotel is exceptional, always on hand with a smile and a laugh. This place is highly recommended.

An excellent boutique private hotel! The location is very convenient. 5 min. walk to the center town and the harbour.All the personnel /team of the hotel very gentle , professionals and helpful. I thank the Owner, Fatih. Elif hanim for making a delicious turkish breakfast, Arda for his help as well. My suite spacious and clean, with a nice view to the sea , very good quality of bedding & towels and sheets. I did not make use of the crystal clear swimming pool, but it is a neat cozy area of the open space of the hotel. My stay was wonderful, and I strongly recommend this little diamond hotel. Bravo! November: it was quiet in the town but enough was open. The markets are limited and there is a long (30 min walk) road in from the dolmus sotp oin the D400. You can enter the ruins by foot from the high side of the town and THEY ARE AMAZING. Dolmus out from the main bus stop until after 7pm.

Patara is lovely rural and quiet with beautiful scenery. The beach is long and sandy. Light coloured sand no pebbles no stones. Beach has turtles, yet turtles only appear at night time when beach is shut. Waves can be choppy in the sea. No drunken English here, it is not commercialised like Bodrum. No fish and chip shops. This is real Turkey. Many Turkish holiday here. Mosques dotted about. Every few hours a call for prayer happens. Lots of ancient ruins to see in Patara. The village of Gelemez is pretty. Many restaurants run by families. Excellent service in restaurants and fair prices. What I did not like is some of the roads are not the best quality. Some delapidated buildings about that are half built.

It's a small village with a handful of restaurants and...

It's a small village with a handful of restaurants and tourist shops and a couple of mini markets. Apart from the beach and ruins, there isn't much there, but the location was good for us with a car as we were able to explore all along the coast - Aludanez, Fethiye, Kalkan and Kas were all within a reasonable distance. The drive along the coast going north was exciting! Great views but lots of single track mountain climbs to navigate, we enjoyed that.

Visited a couple of times before. Village restaurants not so good as previously. Simbar charging more than in Kalkan for cocktails! Village generally very quiet this time, no buzz, however first time visiting in Sept, which may account for this. Bus timetable not worth publishing as they come when they want and don't always go to the bus station.

Despite its popularity, Patara remains a traditional Turkish village. This is because it is protected for both archaeological and nature reasons. Turtles nest here. We visit regularly. It is all accessible on foot but if it's very hot or you have trouble walking any distance, it is best to get the dolmus to the beach. Yes, you have to pay to enter the beach but this is because it is part of an archaeological site. The beach was very, very crowded on a hot summer weekend (avoid in high season if you don't like crowds) but it is so long it's easy to find space to sit and swim. Patara is very convenient for visits to other sites like Xanthos and Letoon.

Patara must be the one of the most perfect holiday...

Patara must be the one of the most perfect holiday destinations. An enormous, world class beach which means it is never crowded. In addition you walk past or through the excavated Lycian and Roman ruins of the ancient port city - amazing! And, of course, the wonderful generosity and good nature of the locals.

Romane & Pamir are adorable and very welcoming. It is simple, affordable and very charming. The breakfast ist amaizing. There is a nice bar, with nice drinks and from time to time a music band (only until 23-24h). Patara beach is an experiece you shouldnt miss if you are in the region!

Very nice and very clean pansiyon. The owner is a nice guy, the breakfast is prepared by his wife and it was wonderfull (bread is homemade and warm). The room is big and was perfect. Perfect spot to stay if you are planning to stay in patara.
