Perfect location, entrance is withing the 7-Eleven. The hotel is right next to the bus stop en center of Shuishe. The room was nicely decorated, spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable. Definitely recommend to stay here. I even was given NT$200 in vouchers to use for breakfast (or anything else besides alcohol and tobacco) at the 7-Eleven.

Fantastic new hotel! Nice balcony, great bathroom with bath with a view over sun moon lake! Everything is in the room. Coffee, tea, water and even earplugs! Totally western comfort! Tip: the rooms on the A side have the best view over the sun moon lake!

The location is close to Suishe Visitor Center where the bus drops visitors off. It's about a 20 minute walk with luggage but we asked the hotel shuttle to pick us up and drop us off at the visitors center when we arrived and left. You can also schedule ahead of time if you want the shuttle to drop you off at Suishe at other times. There was a large buffet breakfast that was quite tasty. The room was also very clean and we liked the view. There were many bikes to use for free to bike along the bike path. This is not a criticism (and Sun Moon Lake is primarily a domestic tourist location) but a FYI - if you don't speak Chinese, communication with the hotel staff might be a bit challenging. Some staff had a little bit of English language skills but that was not necessarily consistent. That's ok though :) just be prepared with some sort of translator app which is definitely useful in Taiwan anyway.
