Very nice and spacious bedroom with a lovely view over the mountains. All amenities were provided. The pool was also great to have a dip after a warm day. Nice breakfast with a lot of local specialties to try. We would definitely come back.

Love the location! Very close to the transit terminal that will get you everywhere. Walking distance to two night markets and many local eateries. And the ocean is only a pleasant 15 minute walk away. The staff is excellent and most helpful. The buffet breakfast is varied and tasty. Has a vegetarian section too. The rooms are on the small side, but we don't spend much time in it. The shower is great! Which is necessary after long days of walking/touring!!

Great view of the ocean, a place to relax and get away from the city. The restaurants there are ample but the most popular will need to get booked in advance. The location is remote but the journey there, whether by train or driving is a memorable experience by itself. For those who like the ocean front vacation spot, this is the place not to miss. Once over there, rent a motorcycle for the best experiences. If going there by train, buy the tickets in advance, especially during the weekends or holidays. Train tickets are sold out easily.

Unfortunately we visited off season and it seems that most things are shut so we found it a bit depressing. If we returned it would be later in the year when we could visit the off shore islands. We also had wet weather but discovered the National Prehistory Museum which is a taxi ride outside the city but one of the best museums we have visited. It was so good we went twice because we did not have enough time to see everything on our first visit. It is also a very good museum for children. Cycling all round on the cycle trails for the day was an excellent activity and there was plenty to see.

Small city. Train station is not downtown. From train station possibility to take bus to downtown approximately 20 minutes drive to bus station. Frequent busses. City is only worth stopping if you plan a trip to the 2 islands nearby.

Taitung is beautiful and filled with many interesting places...

Taitung is beautiful and filled with many interesting places to explore and relax in. The beach is amazing, although the days I was there I couldn't fully enjoy the beach as there was a storm surge from an approaching typhoon, but nevertheless, it was beautiful. The surrounding hills are perfect for hiking, the food is great, and the people are amazing. I loved it there.

Taitung is the hidden gem of Taiwan.

Taitung is the hidden gem of Taiwan. The city is a great place to explore the surrounding areas. My favorite place in Taitung is Tiehua village. During the week, visit in the evenings to browse the shops in the big shipping containers and stroll along the lanterns. If there during the weekend, don't miss the "Bazaar" that features vendors and live music and snacks. Other lovely places in Taitung: Forest Park, Seaside Park, the Sunday night Night Market on SiWei Road, the Prehistory museum, LuYe Mountain, and the four-story stationery store on ZhongHua Rd. If you have transportation to get out of the city, visit the beaches in Taimali or in Dulan, the hotsprings in Zhiben, or get up to the beautiful SanXianTai bridge park. Don't miss out on eating local produce, especially sugar apples, passionfruit, and mangoes.

The laid-back, leisurely Tiehua Village Market is a great location with potential for expansion. If combined with the surrounding Japanese-style architecture and the old train station, it could become a new photo spot. The area around the old train station has a concentration of accommodations and local food stalls. It's a shame that Beautiful Bay is being wasted! Such a beautiful bay is being held back by political issues. The coastal towns also offer unique scenery. Combining local guided tours and tribal culture would be a great addition. Food is also a great option. I personally think Dulan is fantastic, and Chenggong Seafood and the slow-paced lifestyle along the coast are the best choices to escape the hustle and bustle. The mountain route offers stunning views of rice paddies and rolling hills, with white clouds creating a truly relaxing atmosphere. The scenery is undeniably beautiful. Integrating local rice culture and promoting it would further enhance its visibility. Taitung, both its mountain and coastal routes, has many attractions worth developing. Viewpoints could be built to create more photo opportunities (Jinlun Bridge). Taitung is worth visiting frequently, with numerous farmers' associations and rice mills of all sizes scattered along the roadside.

Fresh and modern amenities and styling in the room. The bed was comfy and the small seating/living area is a great addition. Downstairs there is free snacks + tea & coffee, some booth seating areas, space to leave luggage prior to check in/after check out. The staff were lovely and provided us with welcome tea and a small snack. They also had a number of brochures and maps recommending things to do & food options in the area. The hotel is well located if you’re happy to walk around 20 mins to attractions.

Very good location for sightseeing in the center of Taitung. Be aware that the train station is quite far away, take a bus or taxi to the hotel. The room was very clean and the beds were comfy as well. I would stay here again 😄
