it’s private, spacious and fits well with the nature. The bed is comfortable, staff vas very nice and yummy food. There is a choice of fresh seafood for lunch and dinner and fresh fruits available. Th ask pretty much all what we eaten the whole time and was really delicious. There is also a bar and bed hammocks which was great for relaxing. Hassan the host Organise a whale shark tour for us which we really enjoyed as that was the main reason. for visiting Mafia.

Fantastic staff, always happy and smiling, and the owner Mussa was super helpful when we arrived with the ferry from the mainland! The location is great, next to a nice beach with no beach sellers harrasing you. They also arrange the whale shark snorkeling tours right from the property at a fair price. Breakfast was super and the overall vibe of other travellers at this hotel was very good with people from all over hanging with each other. This was our favourite hotel during our whole trip in Zanzibar/Tanzania/Mafia and so good that we returned here for an additional night.

The location itself is very nice, staff and owners are very friendly, the whaleshark tour was good (the weather was bad and we didn't see whalesharks but they really tried their best).

The place was right on the beach with beautiful views. The rooms are basic but comfortable and good for the price. The owner PJ and the rest of the staff are really friendly and helpful. Best budget accomodation in Kilidoni.

I can not put in words how much I loved this place and the amount of gratitude I have for the manager. It’s a beautiful serene place with a beautiful pool area and delicious food as well as great apartments. The people working here are super friendly, beyond kind and helpful. Even during a medical emergency they remained calm and supportive.

What a beautiful place - the rooms are so nice incl. all you need (hot water, A/C, super clean....) the garden is beautiful, and the view from the pool towards the ocean is a dream. Staff is very nice, food and drinks are good, prices reasonable and there are just a few rooms, so it is very calm and relaxing. I would return to there anytime! Note - no beach access!

KK is extremely tranquil and perfect for getting away from the hustle and bustle of anywhere else. The setting is so peaceful hidden under the high canopy of the tropical forest. The staff are amazing and so helpful with anything on the island. The food is tasty and great value. The area has no other tourists so very quiet. The outdoor showers with Kerosene heating is pretty cool too.

Mgeni homestay is a very nice place. Mainly because of the owner Ally and housekeeper Bunda. They are very kind people and want to help you with everything! Ally organised many excursions for us which were super nice! And Bunda makes really nice breakfast, the best I had so far in Tanzania! Also dinner is really good! I would definitely recommend this place to people!
