We had an amazing stay at this hotel! Its location is perfect, right on a beautiful beach, making it an ideal spot to relax and enjoy the seaside. The hotel is new and tastefully furnished, with a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were incredibly helpful and attentive, always going above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. I recently stayed at this hotel and had a wonderful experience. Everything was very clean and well maintained. The atmosphere was inviting and relaxed, making it a perfect getaway for a couple 💕 The staff was super friendly and attentive, always ready to assist with a smile. I highly recommend this hotel. The hotel is extremely well-kept, clean and pleasant . The rooms are cleaned twice a day. The breakfast buffet was really excellent. The choice of food is huge and the food is tasty and fresh. The area around the hotel is quiet and safe. A huge advantage of this place is the cultured and nice but non-intrusive staff. It didn't personally bother me, but the beach (like most beaches in Zanzibar) with a lot of seaweed and at low tide it is not possible to swim in the ocean. On my next visit to Zanzibar I would definitely choose this hotel again.

You can easily arrange dolphin watching and swimming tours – look for Captain Lucho, he helped us with everything and made the experience amazing. A beautiful and relaxing place to stay!

Matemwe was nice - the beach part.

Matemwe was nice - the beach part. Sad to see the poverty behind the gates of the hotel. The tides were a bit different from what we have expected as the water would leave the beach at 9am and return around 5pm. If you did not make it to swim early in the morning, you missed it. We took a reef walk which was beautiful, saw a lot of see creatures, and that was very amazing experience. Also took a boat tour to see the sunset - it was worth the trip. Did not like how the locals would just stop on the beach and start shouting at you to buy smth. Also the part of the hotel beach is not segregated in any way, which does not give you a privacy enough. The food was amazing though - the hotel goes much beyond - and all day brekfast concept was amazing.

Matemwe is ideal for relaxing and spending quality time with friends and family. Matemwe is near Mnemba island 🏝️ for swimming with dolphins 🐬 . We rode bicycles 🚲 around the village and the place felt very safe. There are few alternative places for lunch or dinner. Not too far from stone town.

The snorkeling was a true adventure, with well-protected marine life and crystal-clear water. Spotting the dolphins was an unexpected bonus! Visiting the sea turtle rehabilitation center and feeding them was a special experience.

Matemwe beach was huge and totally uncrowded - some days we were lucky to see 10 - 20 people pass by! Loved the Massai beach hawkers - friendly and laid back happy to have their pictures taken - no hassle or relentless chasing - once told 'no' they respected our space. Recommend a day trip to Nungwi for a completely different vibe and fantastic sunset. Matemwe is somewhat isolated and if you want to get around you need to secure the number of a local taxi driver - always bargain hard beforehand. Most hotels organise trips/tours but at a premium.

It was a quieter beach which was nice which also meant not too many people hassling you to buy things. Those that did were respectful. Beach is nice but the sea depth is very shallow most of the day so swimming wasn't the easiest and there was a lot of seaweed when we were there.

We had a very pleasant and relaxing stay at Mambo Paradise. The location is amazing, as it’s right off the beach and you can go dolphin and snorkeling easily from there ❤️ The room was clean and the staff very kind and helpful. Kasia is an amazing host and everyone did their best to help us with our requests and make us feel very welcome. The food was amazingly tasty and we highly recommend to try sea food as it’s freshly coming directly from the fish market, next to the hotel. .

Absolutely stunning! The best all inclusive resort I stayed at. The staff is extremely friendly, helpful and very professional. There are plenty of sports facilities available. The food is amazing and with great variety, 4 different restaurants to choose from. The location is perfect, nice lagoon just outside the hotel and beatiful beach. Much recommended.
