First of all i have to say that i didn’t look at the map while booking so i missed the fact that this guesthouse is not near any stores or restaurants. If I knew that maybe I wouldn’t book it and this would be a huge mistake! We loved this place sooooo much! We were lucky to be there all alone (me and my husband) without other guests and sometimes it really felt like home. Nice pool, nice beach, if you want anything to eat the amazing host Margaret has a menu of lunches and dinners and she is a great cook. This place is really for those who need some quiet private time. If you want to go for shopping and some other entertainment you can always ask for taxi to Nungwi. We did it once and then regretted cause this town was too busy and noisy we were happy to come back to Matumaini. Near the guesthouse there are couple of small zoos and also you can try several boat trips right from the guesthouse. Every day we had the nicest chats with Margaret and really enjoyed her company. All of the villa staff were very sweet. It broke my heart a little when we had to leave. Highly recommended, wonderful experience! Margaret we are happy to know you, miss you!

Everything! The hotel is absolutely beautiful. The decoration, the pool area, the restaurant, everything is thoughtfully and tastefully designed. It was also spotless throughout our stay. And last but not least, everyone we interacted with (from reception to restaurant staff, security, and cleaning) was exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and kind. It made our stay feel special!

The breakfast and the food in general were delicious as was freshly made a la cart for each customer.The personnel were very polite and they knew well the English language.But what impressed me most was the hospitality and warmth of the hotel’s owners Tomek & Malgo.They were always present and assisted each client personally.Especially for people like me travelling solo I felt safe at that hotel. It’s for people who want to relax and enjoy peaceful moments in front of the sea

This has been our favourite hotel so far, so much so we extended our stay for another day and choose to loose the money we paid for our hotel we had already booked for the 31st! But it was really worth it, the owners are a lovely couple that made sure everything was running smoothly Emmanuel the receptionist was so accommodating and helpful! They also arranged a bus for 20 of us to go the the main NYE event on The island ‘the full moon party at Kendwa Rocks’! The rooms are beautiful they are really well done, with a lounge and bedroom split and balcony overlooking then pool, really nice facilities, the hotel is named after the owners dog, who you will see chilling at the hotel. We also had access to the sunset beach which we just had to walk 5minutes to which is part of sunset hotel, there is an agreement between the hotels to use there facilities, so you can also use sunsets pools and sun beds which was nice, on sunset beach there were loads or tour guys that can organise spontaneous boat trips to snorkel which is great if you have not booked it in the the hotel… They have a roof terrace where we enjoyed a feast every morning and dinner every night! They have food was always fantastic and abundant, and they cooked substitutes for my to accommodate my allergies to gluten and dairy so I could also enjoy crepes and toast, eggy bread, it was heaven, for NYE we enjoyed an amazing seafood platter, before all boarding the bus and going to the party. Honestly we were so happy to stay here it has been amazing and would highly recommend to everyone.

This was our second stay at Boutique Villa Unaweza, and it was just as wonderful as the first! The entire property is beautifully designed and stylish, with every detail thoughtfully planned. The staff, from the restaurant team to the cleaning ladies, were all incredibly friendly, attentive, and helpful, making us feel truly welcome. One of the special touches we loved was the yoga classes, which are a perfect way to unwind, and the occasional live music nights in the restaurant, adding a delightful atmosphere to the evenings. The rooms are spacious, impeccably clean, and designed for ultimate relaxation. The hotel is just a few steps from a stunning beach, ideal for peaceful morning walks. This time, we traveled with a rental car, and the secure parking made everything very convenient. The hotel itself feels incredibly safe, and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. For instance, our flight was in the evening, and they kindly allowed us to keep our room a little longer, which was such a thoughtful gesture. This is without a doubt one of the best places to stay when visiting this beautiful island!

The rooms were clean and had a beautiful sea view & view of the sunrise over the ocean. The staff was amazing, Kassia and Pawel were incredible hosts and everyone did their best to help us with any requests we had, we felt very welcome. We had a great stay at Salama with Paco and Maria. We were very well welcomed, they truly looked after us. We were positively surprised with the facilities in general, they have 3 pools, a lovely restaurant (with great food), our room had its own table outside overlooking the pool. Everything was great.
