We love this place. It's basic accommodation but in an amazing location. You eat breakfast and dinner with hippos aside. Welcoming and kind owner who showed us hippos during the evening. Fresh fish from the lake for dinner. Our best experience with accommodation in Uganda. Thanks

Location. I thought other reviewers were just lucky to have animals walking through the lodge ground. We saw elephants all day. We even came across a hippo at night. Don't worry, you are accompanied by the local Askari after dark. The food was delicious. We are Jewish, so we wanted full board place with veggie options for the weekend. We were not disappointed. We were late to dinner by more than an hour (lions still hiding). Laundry was on time, dry, folded and reasonably priced.

The apartment itself was spotless, well-furnished, and exactly as described in the listing — if not better. As a tour operator, I booked this place for my clients. The place was super nice and the communication was very effective. We reached a little late and found Eunice and other two staff waiting for us. This was super amazing. We spent three nights at the property. Every night Hippos came in the compound to feed on every night. Hippos come with their young ones. I saw a whole family of hippos. 😜Mama, Papa and baby hippo. They come twice a nice at night Between 20:00hrs - 21:30 and then come back between 2:30 - 4:00 The place is very close to Kazinga channel boats and few km to Kasenyi gate in Queen Elizabeth national park. Since am a Birder, I could always start my birding while in the compound. I took enough Pictures of birds. The birds you are likely to see are;; Red necked spurfowl, laughing dove, mourning dove, snowy crowned Robin chat, white browed robin chat, black lores babblers, pied crow, marabou stork, village weavers, black headed Gonolek, Dideric cuckoo, ....... Then as you join the main road, there's a bush where you can see variety of birds.

The room was really cozy and had a nice local touch to it. I loved the beds with the mosquito nets they gave the space a relaxing, homely feel. The place was clean, quiet, and had a great view of the lake. Staff were friendly and made us feel welcome.

Exceptional experience at songbird safari lodge. The location, where elephants walk close and even through (!) and where other animals can be seen in the garden at night, is totally awesome. Everybody there (Goritta, Anington, Mbabazi) is so helpful for any service, wishing to make all at the best. The accommodation and the meals (with great ceremonial from Mbabazi) are wonderful. More than highly recommended !

Went with my wife. This facility was affordable and the staff was very nice. Always there when we needed them. The scenery was also magnificent. We could see buffalo grazing and had elephants visit the lodge once in a while. We had most of the activities we did in the game park organised for us by the lodge which took out any inconvenience we may have had.
