They managed the gorilla permit for us with less than 1 week in advance and without any extra fee. Fireplace every night, amazing service and amazing meals (full board for just +30$ per person). First night we pitched our tent but since it's cold and we wanted to stay longer and do some other hikes around + batwa pygmes, we got a self-contained room for a good price and it felt like high luxury for the price we paid. Last day we saw a gorilla from the chill area, I have no words to describe this piece of heaven, thank you guys!!

Extraordinary room layout, extremely clean and superb water shower supply both warm and cold. Awesome cozy views to read a nice book while you lookout at the lake in front! I also appreciate their fast response to even ship over my lost AirPods the day after! Kind gesture of a very professional and attentive staff

A wonderfull wiev over the lake. We did enjoy the atmosohere by the peacefull place. The food was tasty and healthy. We did prefere the local organic food which was made for us in the restaurant. Also the breakfest was splendid every morning. San was the chef who made tasty vegeterian food for us from local organig ingredients. Peace was the best ever as a waitress, as she was smiling and talking with us . The cottage we had was perfekt with the astonishing wy to the blue lake. We did watch the birds, the stars and we made a wonderfull boattrip on the lake. We had also a trip to a village of pygmis. At the last night we did see a flying star! Then we had the change to hope that we could come back here again! There was also time to make some jogapractising by own. We did read books. We did make meditation daily by ourselves. Also we had time to make watercoulourpainting by us selves of the landscapes. I tried to paint the landscapes which did very much remaind me of William Turners paintings Everything was organaised by a fantastic personal! We were kept so well that it felt almost like at home. The owner Edvard was so kind. He did organise everything for us. It was so nice to visite the pygmivillage and dance with them. Edvard took us to the border of Ruanda. He did help to get trough the formalities. Ores was the excellent guide on our boattrips! Ores took care of telling us how to behave at pygmivillage. He did also tell us very many stories about Uganda. Kampu was the expert to make campfire and drive the motorboat. He was always polite and helpful. Charkotte, the manager, was keeping everything in excellent hands. Always smiling and always helping in everything. With the experiencis of travelling more than hundred countries we do highly recommend this lovely gorgeous place Lake resort! We do both feel like new persons after spending four nights there!! My husband and I loved the peace and quiet away, the sound of birds in the morning and the hospitable staff. *Allan* was of great help in all ways possible. He is flexible, friendly and good at his job. Him and Joab guided us so well through the high rope course activities, he took us canoeing which we also enjoyed. He took us around the village through the locals, shops and everything else we needed. Our stay was remarkable ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

everything was exceptional. the location on the banks of the lake, the nice cottage, the friendly stuff the nice gardens and all in all a great hotel

From the moment I arrived at the airstrip,the lodge had arranged for a driver to pick me up, to arriving at the lodge,the hospitality was exceptional. The staff were incredibly welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind ,they made me feel right at home. The lodge is beautifully perched in the hills, offering stunning views of the surrounding forest and mountains. Waking up to the peaceful sounds of nature and seeing the morning mist drift through the trees was simply magical. The rooms at Kaara Mountain Lodge are spacious, immaculately clean, and thoughtfully designed. There’s a perfect balance of comfort, luxury, and eco-friendliness. I especially appreciated the little touches, like the cozy hot water bottles in the bed at night and the warm turndown service after a long day. The food was another standout ;fresh, delicious, and made with great care. Each meal, from the early breakfast before trekking to the hearty dinner in the evening, was a treat. The dining area itself is beautifully set, making every meal feel special. Most importantly, the lodge is ideally located for gorilla tracking, making the logistics incredibly easy. After an awe-inspiring day of encountering mountain gorillas, returning to the calm and comfort of Kaara Mountain Lodge was the perfect way to unwind and reflect on such a unique experience.

The owner was helpful and friendly, she contact me before my trip on whatsapp, and gived good information. The accomodation is a new builded house, beutifull. The breakfast and the dinnervwas tasty a plenty. The accomodation is near the gorilla track meeting point. The owner put the fire to dry the wet shoos for the next day gorilla track. I can recommend the accomodation, Make sure you choose this one

Amazing staff, they are always taking care of you. Amazing enviroment and very good location. Very good breakfast and dinner. Very good views and rooms beautiful and comfortable. Close to rushaga gorilla point.

The stuff is really nice and caring. The place is quite clean and the food is amazing, just consider to order 2 or 3 hours in advance :) The garden is such a great place to relax from the city noise!
