FAQs about hotels in Baltimore

Historic & Vibrant Harbor Town

Energetic and complex, Baltimore belongs to the select group of historic cities along the east coast of the United States. Located between Washington D.C. and Philadelphia, it’s the birthplace of the National Anthem. It has a lively nightlife, picturesque neighbourhoods, and modern entertainment areas. Its large number of African American population had an important role during the days of the Civil Rights movements.

Founded in 1729, its strategic location in an arm of the Chesapeake Bay rapidly transformed it into an important trading port. The historical site of Fort McHenry is well known for its role during the War of 1812 with the British Empire.

The city has numerous neighbourhoods that still maintain a quaint atmosphere. Fells Point is famous for its 18th and 19th-century architecture, cobbled streets, typical pubs, and plenty of restaurants. Some of the best inns and hotels in Baltimore are located here, while a more local feeling and great accommodation can also be found in Federal Hill and Midtown.

The Inner Harbor is a lively area where tourists can find modern venues and live concerts. Most Baltimore hotels are located in the Harbor, while the business district has also a wide variety of accommodation.

Whether you arrive at Penn Railway Station or Baltimore-Washington International Airport, don’t miss the deals available on Booking.com!

What Guests Said About Baltimore:

Baltimore is a wonderful city.

Baltimore is a wonderful city. Too often, the challenges of the city are what's highlighted causing many people to miss the wonder. Baltimore is an energetic, creative, quirky city where anything is possible. The vibe is subtle pleasant semi-insanity while maintaining a homey, warm feeling at the same time. Come for the vibe, stay for the food, art, music scene, diversity, etc. etc!

Baltimore is charm city, so if you have specific plans like concerts or sports events, it's great. But the city has a homeless/drug problem and many dangerous areas. Be vigilant and travel with groups on foot. Especially at night. Chesapeake Bay dining is great. But nothing here to keep you from staying more than a few days.

I come to Baltimore Harbor/Fells Point frequently.

I come to Baltimore Harbor/Fells Point frequently. I enjoy the way it has improved over the years. However, the parking is way too expensive. If persons are staying multiple days, there ought to be a discount decreased in correspondence to length of stay. There are some places that are $55 a day. If staying for 3 days or more, it should be discounted.

Baltimore is a great city for tourists.

Baltimore is a great city for tourists. It has a big city feel and a mid-city feel. It compares very favorably to Manhattan, Philadelphia, Brooklyn, DC, Boston, Charlotte, Atlanta and Miami. There is something for everyone in Baltimore. I've been three times in three months and hope to return soon.

We didn't get to go out to explore too much, but we did take the opportunity to go down by the harbor. My husband took me to the game for my birthday. He had bought me a birthday balloon. I can't tell you how many happy birthday wishes I received from perfect strangers. I found the people that we ran into were very friendly—they made my day special.
