    Outstanding service.

Outstanding service. The front desk lady was so far beyond outstanding that it is impossible to define her. We were a group of 7 older couples 70-80), and she made sure that our rooms were located together. Several of our group were handicapped, and she that they were well taken care of. She offered excellent restaurant choices, and gave us directions to numerous places we wanted to go. She saw to it that we had tables and chairs so we could play cards and games that we had brought with us. None of us could praise her highly enough. She was a delightful hostess in every way. Parking meters everywhere that require coins. Kinda Stupid.

Parking meters everywhere that require coins. Kinda Stupid. Nice attractions in a historic river town. Easy getting around- wide streets and not much traffic. Good restaurants (try Timmerman’s across the bridge in East Dubuque). Loras college is a highlight. Also the Hotel Julien. Love the river museum as well. Recommend a visit-but bring a roll of quarters if parking downtown.
