We visit Colorado from UK for a vacation and usually stay in Golden enroute to the Rockies every ski season to break the journey up after the long trans Atlantic flight. We find Golden is great. So far we have only stayed at Origins Red Rock. We have found a lovely breakfast stop in town the following day - Golden Diner on 12th street. Golden is a perfect little town, lovely winter walks along the creek. Golden is a beautiful little town with lots of great restaurants and shopping. Proximity to so many Colorado locations is great too; Denver and Colorado springs are easy trips, the Rocky Mountains are very accessible to the west. We visited Lookout Mountain and the grave of buffalo bill. Great views here and a free attraction. the Coors Brewery we attended for a tasting (the tours book up far in advance so be sure to book ahead). The tasting is good value for money and the staff were informative and friendly! The tasting room is nice and has lots of historic photographs to check out! Of course there is a gift shop with some great souvenirs and pricing was not bad! We went to a concert at Red Rocks outside of Golden and we highly recommend checking this place out! We would have liked more time to check out downtown Golden so we will need to return!Guest review byMeganCanada - 10.0

Love, love this town. You have to try the Buffalo Rose and make sure you try the Deli in the center of town ... best sandwiches. The Tea Shop called Old BarrelTea is an absolute must and the liquor store directly behind it as well lots of local bourbon whiskey and spirits.
