There is so much to view in this town within a national park...
There is so much to view in this town within a national park. Two major rivers coming together, the railroad and all the bluffs. There are many placards loaded with pictures and information regarding the history through the centuries, so give yourself time to walk through the sites. The town is built right into the hillside so the streets are steep and quite narrow. Make sure you have good walking shoes! Love the history of the area and the variety of hiking trails. The town is small but beautiful. Harper's Ferry is the mid-point of the Appalachian Trail and the park visitor's center is definitely worth visiting. Parking is limited downtown and your best bet is the lot at the train station.
