Only stayed in Kanab for one night and late in the afternoon. Loved the Toadstool Hoodoos which is located at the Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument just before getting into Kanab and it is only a 1.7 mi RT hike. Loved Wild Thyme restaurant. Had their salmon dish and we shared a delish dessert. Went to Moqui Cave. Very interesting story of the lineage of the Hopi Cave told by the employees. It is very touristy but very cool to check out and if you are into rocks, gems, Native American jewelry, it is a must stop. They have wind caves there but didn’t have time for that. A beautiful area. Beautiful scenery all along the drive, easy to access all the fun hikes close by; Zions Nat'l Park Narrows walk was awesome! Totally enjoyed every aspect! Friendly people. Kanab is much more touristy than 7 years ago with more new hotels and options for renting off-road vehicles and buggies. It has become much busier and has lost some of its small-town charm. Kanab is a fabulous lowkey town .
Kanab is a fabulous lowkey town . It is close to Zion Bryce and Antelope Canyons . There were lots of great restaurants and everyone was friendly . There is an interesting animal sanctuary there that gives great tours . Also there is great hiking in the area.Guest review byJaneCanada - 8.0
