    One item to see in this area is the FREE Water Ski Show at...

    One item to see in this area is the FREE Water Ski Show at Lake Silver in near by Winter Haven on the 3rd Saturday of the month at about 5pm put on by the Cypress Gardens Water Ski Team and it is FREE Parking and FREE SHOW. This group puts on a great show and they do not get paid but for the Love of the Sport. Bok Tower is another must see. Rent a Jet Ski even if you never have. We did not even get wet. Not to mention all of the Mega Attractions near by.

    I was in Lakeland to visit my Mother who is in Hospice there...

    I was in Lakeland to visit my Mother who is in Hospice there on North 98. So I did not see much while I was there. In the past I have enjoyed downtown Lakeland - many good restaurants and shops and the South side of Lakeland has many restaurants, hotels, shopping and movies. I have enjoyed that area a great deal in the past.

    very nice downtown area on a lake with walking path around and beautiful Hollis garden. A much larger Lake Hollingsworth also has paved path ideal for biking. Surrounding areas on the way to hotel were just ok. Will likely return and visit again.

    I loved everything about Lakeland hotel, super clean, great staff, wonderful pool, breakfast was super super great and made it even more inviting as the staff was very friendly especially Mrs. RIVERA! thank you! She helped everyone if needed and most importantly she helped my grandkids i was extremely greatful! Manager came by i saw how great he treated his employees like he was speaking to his own family! wow I haven't seen that in years! I cant wait to return!

    I like everything! One suggestion, if I may. See if you can add to the Welcome book a list of recycled items in Lakeland. I came from a different country and I needed to ask around about the local rules. Be blessed!

    Lots to do from Southern Florida College which has many...

    Lots to do from Southern Florida College which has many Frank Lloyd Wright buildings and the town has plenty of things to do. Nice restaurants, a small but very beautiful botanical gardens and lots of tiny lakes all over with lots of swans and duck. It is a little gem!

    Excellent house / villa, clean and good floor plan. Washing machine and dryer was a big plus. All worked well in the house and with the host. Price was very good to the value, so definately will visit again if going to Lakeland.
