I am so pleased we decided to stay at the Best Western PLUS in Mariposa. Check in was quick and smooth with Brandie giving us recommendations on restaurants, which were all incredible. Her hospitality aswell as all the staff we encounted during our trip were so friendly, welcoming and just really lovely helpful people. We stayed in room 301 which was incredible. Spacious room with a soft and comfortable large bed, great shower pressure. Breakfast was buffet style with my favourites being the sausage and egg. The staff are really accommodating and offered a grab and go breakfast which you can do during breakfast hours or if you are setting out early, like us, they will prepare a take away box which a selection of breakfast items. 10/10 and whenever we may visit the area again we will be staying here. Thank you to the staff who made us feel so looked after.

Richard and Jane were incredibly welcoming and provided great suggestion whilst also taking into account our preferences and number of days stay. The breakfast options were very helpful to plan for the different day trips (to-go bag or stay in for delicious home cooked hot breakfast). The B&B was clean and has good facilities. We had a great time here. You have a whole cottage for your self that is equipped with everything you need. The donkeys have their area directly next to the accommodation, they are curios and friendly and they like to keep you company when you sit outside. Glen and Teresa are great hosts and will support you in case of questions. The location is also perfect, short drive into town where you can find nice restaurants and a big supermarket. Within about one hour you reach the Yosemite National Park via a nice scenic route. So overall we were more than happy here and would definitely come back when we have the chance one day.

The restaurants were good but we were there on Memorial Day and found out the first day we needed reservations. Our best meals were at 1850 (reservations) and the Pizza Factory (they don't take reservations). Castillo's Mexican was pretty bad. Would not recommend.

Lovely, quiet, peaceful location not far from the town and...

Lovely, quiet, peaceful location not far from the town and everything in town was easily walkable. Food in the market was surprisingly affordable. Instruction booklet was thorough, Thank you! There was plenty of kitchen counter space and plenty of cooking tools. Loved the good-sized living room area and ease of connecting up our PS5. The rooms were nice, beds, comfy and the bathrooms nicely updated. The hot tub and inside thermostat are locked. Overall, it is a fabulous location, a good place to stay, but has a few less conveniences and luxuries compared to other places we've stayed for around the same price.

Great little town with a variety of shopping options including gifts, organic groceries, hand made goods and locally sourced wares. Numerous restaurants with a variety of price points. Great gateway to Yosemite and other attractions.

Charming little town.

Charming little town. Down side is most of the shops close at 5, so if you plan on exploring Yosemite during the day, you will miss out on shopping. Most restaurants close at 9pm. Great dive bar Hidden Saloon.

We didn't spend much time in Mariposa as we booked the house for our visit to Yosemite National park and we went there most days. Mariposa town is very small with not a lot of shops/restaurants/bars.

Gorgeous small town about an hour outside the park. Really great base to have as it has it all - shops, large grocery store, gas stations, restaurants and bars. Would definitely stay in Mariposa again.

The place is very good, located in a quiet area. Good size for a group of 4 friends. River Rock Inn was very clean, and the beds were comfortable. Great communication with hosts. Shame we have arrived quite late to explore the area, but Mariposa seems to be a nice little town. The host provided clear check-in details for those arriving late.

As a basis for visiting Yosemite the location is excellent. The little town of Mariposa is worth exploring. Complimentary breakfast is ok. Try to avoid hotel rooms 101 and 102 on the ground floor as they are very very dark facing a wall.
