The first room he gave us was already occupied. The man started yelling when we tried to get the door open. The second room didn't have working plumbing . The pipes in the tub were loose and not hooked up. Then when we sat down on the bed we noticed a bug We went back to the office and said we were leaving and wanted our money back. Mechanicsburg is a historic working-class community only a few miles from the state capital, Harrisburg. It has a world-class community park for activities, picnics, or just relaxing. There is a full range of restaurants and amenities. The town is surrounded by farm country to the south, including Pennsylvania's famous orchards in Adams and Franklin counties. The Civil War's turning point, Gettysburg, is less than half an hour to the south. There are numerous nearby small colleges--Dickinson, Gettysburg, Franklin and Marshall, and Bucknell. The Hershey Medical Center and its many specialized care programs is 15 miles away. Hershey Chocolate and its Amusement Park and Chocolate World attract millions of visitors annually. All in all, a vibrant area yet one that affords outdoor exploration and the best of mid-Atlantic agriculture, especially fruit production in the late summer and fall. The rooms need total renovation.
The rooms need total renovation. Mattresses were old and very uncomfortable, bathroom tub had mold under caulking and under knob on shower, didn’t use. Too much deodorize to mask old stuffy smell. First rm air conditioner didn’t work so we were move to another room. The night manager was accommodating. We are familiar with Mechanicsburg and Central PA.
We are familiar with Mechanicsburg and Central PA. The Country Inn and Suites, Mechanicsburg, is an excellent location for visiting the entire area. You can get anywhere easily and in very reasonable time because of the excellent interstate road system.
