Monroeville is the Gateway to Pittsburgh from the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Lots to do, great restaurants, great variety of shopping locations, places of worship for Hindus, Jews, Catholics, Protestants, and other religions. Great diversity. Far enough from Pittsburgh to be safe and suburban, but close enough to drive 20 minutes so see the sights of Mt Washington, experience the universities, medical centers, cultural events, and all Pittsburgh has to offer. When you're in Monroeville - all types of stores/restaurants are right there! TX Roadhouse is right across the street - they have delicious salmon (very moist), wonderful shrimp and their steaks are fantastic too! This hotel has a fantastic location! This sprawling strip of commercial restaurants and shops is good for someone who wants to find things, like chain stores and eateries.
