The most difficult in Old Orchard Beach is to select a good hotel, since a couple of years the price are very expensive and you need to pay a couple of hundreds dollars/night. Property clean and amenities provided. Owners were kind, friendly and helpful. The only drawback would be the train that ran less than 20 feet from our door. It went by every two hours or so. This was not mentioned on the website at all when reservations were made.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0

Bring earplugs because the trains run all night. That or turn up the air conditioning and keep windows closed. The beach was very clean although be prepared as the water is very cold. The area near the pier had some unsavory characters and panhandlers. So I did not feel comfortable walking there in the evening. Not a lot of good restaurants within walking distance.
