Sam Rafael is close by Marin, Tiburon Sausalito ..Lots of fun places to go shop, eat and sight see. Here on a vacation with my daughter to visit friends. It is a good central and safe location. San Raphael is a sweet little stop to stay on your way to visit Mt. Tamalpais. There are good restaurants within walking distance from the new Marriott in downtown. The room was spacious and had great air conditioning. They had blackout drapes and a nice tub. I loved the shampoo and conditioner that was already in refillable dispensers in the tub/shower area.
