There is a lot to see all along the Lake Shore.
There is a lot to see all along the Lake Shore. We specifically sought out the different waterfalls and make the drive up to the Canadian border. It is worth the trip because there are many stops a long the way and small towns to visit, especially Grand Marais. Silver Bay is about halfway between Grand Portage and Duluth...
Silver Bay is about halfway between Grand Portage and Duluth so it made a very centralized place to stay. There was a gas station nearby. Only thing was not too many places to eat in the evening. We made sure we ate before we got back to the motel for the evening. The pool was great fun and the hot tub was nice. Black Beach was nearby and very pretty!Guest review bySharlaUnited States
