Nasty dirty and no one can care less… springs sticking out of mattress ac smelled like dog urine and the room smelled like a cigar.. nasty bedding with sewn up rips … speed bumps are excessively tall and apparently caused damage to more than just my car in the past … so unless you’re broke, and you don’t care if things are nasty avoid this place all together.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0

For us this was a great place to stay for our Sequoia National Park visit. It is about an hour from the park. However, I found that hotels closer to the park are vastly more expensive with lower cleanliness ratings. This hotel was 1/3 the price. Visalia has restaurants, pubs,, etc. for all price points and the downtown is charming, historic and architecturally significant. I was happy with the choice of a Visalia "home" for our weekend park visit.Guest review byRose - 8.0

Visalia had a lot of quaint shopping and eating establishments which we visited. Parking was a big issue as had to park and walk some distance and my wife and I are both handicapped with bad hips/legs. Visalia is a more affordable place to stay for visiting Sequoia National park . Its about a hour away , but about 1/2 the price of a nights stay closer to the park. I consider downtown Visalia a very safe , and walkable area for many restaurants.Guest review bywallaceUnited States - 10.0

Very nice city center.
Very nice city center. Main Street is great-vibrant, safe, plenty of restaurants. They have loudspeakers placed along the street and music plays along the street, which gives a great vibe.
