Great little town that caters to tourists and has a down-home feel. Plenty of hometown food and options. Truly is 1 minute to the main gates of Yellowstone making it a great place to enter the park. In my opinion it's the best place as you can choose to do the Upper Loop of the park or Lower loop easily. Trip from Bozeman took almost 2 hours as mostly 2 lane highways. Our family had an amazing time in West Yellowstone.
Our family had an amazing time in West Yellowstone. It was a great place to access Yellowstone Park. Buffalo Bar was a great place for dinner. Food and drinks were exceptional . The Gusher piazza shop had great pizza and was less crowded than other places. We enjoyed walking around this town and taking in the sights. As we approached there was a wrecked car parked nearby. The communal area wasn’t very appealing at the entrance so we didn’t spend anytime here The room has some nice features like the corrugated metal around the sink but the shaggy brown carpet looked very dated and the wardrobe had no doors. The lighting in the bathroom and sink area was very bright and white which made everything look very cheap.
