Cozy & friendly town with everything you need nearby. There’s even a lovely wine & spirits store down the way. The winery is only open on weekends and with late hours- not conducive to Friday 11AM checkout times. Also, beware of the 55 MPH maximum speed limit with frequent speed traps & State Troopers fishing for tourists to ticket. They ask you a TON of questions (where you’re staying, where you’re headed, etc.) & then ticket you. That part is rather unpleasant.Guest review byBrown - 10.0

I was only there for a day but the area was very beautiful. The view of the mountains was really nice. The Windham Path was a peaceful, country trek. I had dinner at the Prominence restaurant. Wind is a nice place to stay.
Wind is a nice place to stay. It is a classy type of a town: somewhat well to do versus other Catskill towns where houses are incomplete and old cars sit in the yard. Things are more expensive in Windham. The towns people plant beautiful flowers all over and it provides great photo opportunities. For the cost of the room, breakfast should have been included. The restaurant was very expensive and wasn't open the first 2 days we were there. We had good breakfasts at the Windham Diner but dinner was not so hot. Had a decent meal at the Tap House. Skip the Tipp Tavern. Bad food and dirty. Hickory Hill Market gets a thumbs up. We booked a 2 bedroom suite, which was very nice. Minnewaska State Park is fabulous if you like to hike but it was 1.5 hours away. Overall, the resort is nice.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0
We attended a celebration of life at CD Lane Park.
We attended a celebration of life at CD Lane Park. There was a small lake with a pavilion. Its a little off the beaten trail, but visit the park if you are there. The scenery of the entire area is breath taking. We stayed and ate at Jimmy OConnor's Mountain Inn. Love the oaky vibe in the rooms. The bedding is not my taste but its still pretty new and in nice shape. The mattress was super comfortable and of great quality. Orange bed frame in 10 years will look tacky (just thinking long term). Staff at concierge desk were great. Very helpful and full of advice. Bar, restaurant and Bakery were lovely.
