One of the friendliest places you will find in Cao Bang. The staff are all amazing and will go out of their way to help you anyway they can, even using Google translate if you don't speak Vietnamese. My stay here was for 5 nights and I also stayed for 8 nights in the sister hotel just 50mts away. The hotel is very close to many stores including both Vietnamese and Western foods. Only about 5 mins and you are in the heart of Cao Bang. The room was very comfortable with a large 4k UHD Tv and aircon that works perfectly in Vietnams heat.

Loved the location and the view, facing the Quay Son River, with a wide baywalk that gets merry in the evenings. It is amidst many excellent eating places. We loved the banh cuon at the back for a very early breakfast (open at 530AM), Mixue and Banxue for drinks and ice cream, and Banh Mi Thu Thang, recommended by the owner, which was so good that we ate there twice. We are very grateful to the owner for opening the guesthouse for us very early in the morning, as our bus from Hanoi arrived at 430AM. He also pre-booked for us a private car for a day tour at a very reasonable rate, with a very capable, knowledgeable and caring driver. We were so impressed with him that we booked him again for another day tour on our second day. In so doing we were able to save on our travel expenses, which turned out significantly lower compared to booking a package tour. The property owner also booked for us our overnight bus back to Hanoi, at a cheaper rate compared to purchasing online, and which unloaded at the bus station closer to Hanoi than My Dinh. He also took care of our taxi going to the bus station. Our room looked exactly like the photos, even better, and the view from the 4th floor was nice, especially in the early morning. Our beds were huge and very comfy.

The hotel has the general 4* standard, and as backpackers we didn't feel uncomfortable. Overall we were satisfied. The room is spacious, the carpet is pleasantly soft, the bed is sufficiently hard (although this is obviously a matter of taste). The central air conditioning works very efficiently, daily cleaning, coffee, tea, kettle in the room. In clear weather, the view from the 17th floor is beautiful. The buffet breakfast has a wide selection: 6-8 types of hot main dishes (steamed pumpkin and carrots, pork and chicken, vegetable rice, noodles, dumplings), 2 types of soup, bread, toast, baguette, butter, hard cheese, two types of ham, pâté, sausage, boiled eggs, cucumbers, tomatoes, lettuce, cabbage, carrots, yogurt, pastries, fruit, tea, coffee, soft drinks and in addition, a kitchen with a chef to fulfill other wishes. The ingredients are of good quality and everything is delicious, but it is worth going earlier, because what runs out, they don't refill. The price of the accommodation was automatically deducted from the card, which is also a great thing and rare in Vietnam. I heartily recommend this hotel, and we will choose it again.

The hotel is just next to the ban gioc waterfalls. The bus from Cao Bang stops directly in front of the hotel. The hotel is situated on a hill and the surrounding is so pretty. Room is perfect and comfortable. Staffs are super helpful, helping us arrange taxis to go to various locations.

    The house, rooms, the atmosphere and helpful host exceed our expectations, we would definitely come back there next year, hopefully! The most amazing accommodation I had a real pleasure to use while my journey to Vietnam! Beautiful 50 years old building with traditional rooms, bamboo walls, vintage decorations and old instruments. Gorgeous flower-full terrace with a view on town below, where we could eat meals, drink coffee or rest after the day full of adventures. If you are looking to taste the true style of Vietnamese home, this should be your first choice. On top of that, I have to say that it was the first time I met such a great and helpful host, who became our guide and friend at the same time, sorting out our problems, ordering special Vietnamese dishes and showing us surrounding areas. There is an option to rent a scooter, which is great, as the nearby attractions are not walking distance away. Strongly recommend this place, if I could give more stars, I would definitely do so!

    Cao Bang is a long drive/ride from Ha Giang.

    Cao Bang is a long drive/ride from Ha Giang. The Ban Gioc waterfall isn't that big, the attraction is that it is the biggest in all of Vietnam. Compared to the rest of the World, like Niagara Falls, NY, it is rather small and unimpressive for such a long trek out to Cao Bang to see it!

    nice people and great landscape, there are nice stays around...

    nice people and great landscape, there are nice stays around the tourist destinations which are very nice like Khuoi Ky Village or Mat Than Mountain so you should spend time there instead of staying in Cao Bang city. Sometimes the flood and land slide can damage the road so you should ask the local about the route first before going.
