Very cool aesthetic tucked away in the jungle, bamboo and thatch roof dorms/tents for a camping in nature feel. Staff super friendly and helpful. Laundry/bike rental nearby they will drop you to. Also had the coolest common room guitar I've ever come across.

The pool, the garden, the lovely evening lights. the beautiful cooked fresh food, the garden butterflies all added to the restful experience at Cat Bà Papillon. The staff were helpful in organising collection from any point on the Island and organising onward transfer to Hanoi. As a solo traveller, I felt safe comfortable and looked after very well. Excellent value for 1 person and even better value for 2 persons. Lovely stay and lovely people

Everything was great. Helpful staff (they dont speak English, but with Google Translator everything was fine). The room was clean and the bed comfy. They let me check in early and check out late with no additional charge. They helped me book my bus tickets and made sure I would end up in the right one. They also upgraded me to a nicer room since the hotel wasnt full. So far defenitley the best budget accomondation I had in Vietnam!

Every detail at Cat Ba Viet Hoa Hotel exceeded expectations! Our suite’s balcony offered uninterrupted bay views, and the plush bedding felt like sleeping on clouds. The infinity pool was pristine, and the bartender crafted personalized cocktails. Staff surprised us with a birthday cake and lantern-lit dinner. The breakfast pho was the best we’ve had in Vietnam. Flawless!

We had an amazing stay, the room was clean, staff was friendy, the breakfast had many options to chose from. We got help as well to bus the bus to the ferry. Internet worked stable and fast, there is a generator as well in case of power cuts.
