A lot of people drive by on scooters on the little road next to the Retreat and be like 'OMG, so beautiful!'. That describes perfectly the beauty of this site. Since Cat Ba City is a huge construction side on one hand and a mid-twenty hostel on the other hand, the Holiday Retreat gave us exactly what was promised in every tour guide: A little get away from the noise and hectic of the city! Yet it was super easy to explore Halong Bay and enjoy everything the area has to offer.

Located a 15-minute drive from Cat Ba National Park, Cat Ba Eco Lodge offers a peaceful getaway boasting natural surroundings. Free Wi-Fi is provided throughout the resort.

CG and the rest of the staff are absolutely amazing. They went out of their way to ensure I had a great stay — not only at Eco Lodge but on the island of Cat Ba. The lodge has great recs about restaurants, scooters to rent, and is near a lake and the national park. Additionally, I loved CG’s dogs! Highly recommend this beautiful oasis as a place to get to know Cat Ba and other travelers. Would 10/10 stay here again and/or recommend to friends/family.

Beautiful spot way out in nature far from all the other places to stay on the island. Had a wonderful time here catching up with some friends I knew were here ~ if you're alone & there's no-one around it might seem a bit isolated but if you want the nature tip & especially if you know there are people here then it's perfect! Nice pool too, & the place is well equipped as a music venue if there's anything actually going on (not always..!)
