Old Mui Ne (near Phan Thiet) is entertaining and one can find good seafood and western style restaurants. Basically a place for Vietnamese to enjoy the beach. The beach in Mui Ne is much nicer than Vung Tau and it is better accessible than Vung Tau due to the new expressway. With small children Asteria is certainly a good choice. The location is great but the problem is the 3 hour drive from Dallas across the very winding road across the hills I think the drive from HCM is more straightforward but twice as long but around 3hours 30 Minutes. Recommend the Chinese Buddha and dragon fruit farm tour 👍restaurants We’re very good ( and there’s plenty of them ) . I love the food here because it is very tasty (and also kinda sweet). Grilled meats, spring rolls, seafood, and soup are great. The beaches are very beautiful. The sun during daytime is very harsh. As a Vietnamese, I found the food prices are reasonable (it is not cheap but the food is worth the money). Not as busy as Mui Ne which is very favourable because all I needed was a great break from crowd! Quite a bit Hotel development is happening here regardless I think its more for locals some restaurants have english menus and it still has its charm and good local sea food.
