Good location close to the coast, lovely staff, and the place is pristine, it feels like someone is cleaning the communal kitchen several times a day. The pool is great (and I am not a pool person :)). I left my bags for a couple of nights I was in Tanna, it was no problem. Fast WiFi. Great communal areas, two sitting areas and an outdoor kitchen. Each room has its own little kitchen area (fridge + sink) and bathroom. You get two towels and a soap. The dorm has lockers.

Very good price-value. Next to the ocean, you'll have a good sleep listening to the ocean waves. Nice people in the guest house too(owners and travellers too!). You can always catch a bus to the town easily (althought its a bit harder on sundays to get back from town but still good). Very good place to stay in Efate!

The food is excellent. Plus there is coffee, tea and other food that is available in the kitchen, so I did not have any problems at al. On top of that, the landlord took us to visit places which I think is really cool and beautiful.

We love the location and it’s so great to be able to use a kitchen occasionally and BBQ some good Vanuatu beef! Two bedrooms so we had space and step of the patio into the lagoon. Vanuatu Port Vila is such a beautiful and welcoming destination! The people are incredibly friendly, the scenery is stunning, and there’s so much to see and do. From the colourful markets and great local restaurants to the crystal-clear water and fun day trips, everything felt easy and relaxed. We loved exploring the nearby islands, enjoying fresh seafood, and soaking up the laid-back island vibe. Port Vila has the perfect mix of culture, adventure, and relaxation — we can’t wait to come back!

They have a public transport system based on private...

They have a public transport system based on private minibuses. They have number plates starting with B. You just hail them and tell them where you want to go. It is not very expensive. We went to Breakas beach resort for a swim at their beach and drinks at their beachside bar. Our main holiday was on Espiritu Santo

Port Vila is still recovering from the 2024 Earthquake but...

Port Vila is still recovering from the 2024 Earthquake but the locals are so friendly and drivers are so reliable, they have the best knowledge of the best places to visit uncovering hidden gems. We had a great time exploring both Port Vila and Efate and only wish we had more time. It is a great place to both relax and go on lots of adventures.

Despite beng only 8 months since the devastating earthquake, Port Vila is doing just fine. A number of places haven't rebuilt but the ones that have rebuilt or repaired are great. Awesome restaurants and bars are a plenty so you won't be disappointed. The roads are terrible so be very careful if driving. All in all a great place to visit and will definately go back

An interesting place to visit with very friendly people but still recovering from the recent earthquake. Several resorts are still to reopen. Not a lot to do except relax, swim and snorkel but that was what we wanted. Felt safe and can drink the water. It is expensive with food, drink and transport costs similar to Australia. Air Vanuatu is still very unreliable with flight cancellations so leave a few days to get back to Port Vila for international connections if you plan to visit other islands. No one seems surprised when this happens, so you need to relax as well!

We visited turtle sanctuary, very little and disappointing, distillery fabulous experience and staff fantastic. Pele island was awesome aswell as hideaway island. Port Vila itself is nice but it will be an island stay next time.

Amazing snorkelling right of the beach. The best in Vanuatu. Free snorkelling gear and free use of the kayaks. Bring reef shoes! Great customer service from reception, maintenance to restaurant staff. Free ferry running all time. You can hop over to the Beach bar and watch the fireshow on Friday eve. Rooms with shared bathrooms are clean and great value for money. Food choices are limited but very well cooked.

The location was close by to the stone grill restaurant and Bayan Cafe which offer really good meals. A chinese shop is nearby if you wanna go cheap on meals. Also there is the MOULU eat-out neaby as well. Very Convenient location next to shops and restaurants. Staff are friendly and arrange pick up and drop offs for airport transfers. 9/10

Garden Faare was comfortable, bed good size and comfy. Shower great but bathroom needed an update. Location was lovely. 15 minutes by “B” bus to Port Vila. Buses run frequently and cheap (150vtu pp o/w) Pool was very inviting but on the cool side….it was ‘winter’ Grounds were very well maintained Food was good

Wonderful resort! The food is absolutely world class and the best we had during our time in Vanuatu at various other resorts. The staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms were spacious and clean. Location is also within close proximity to town. Would definitely recommend if staying at Port Vila.

The location is between the airport and the center of Port Vila. It lies at the main street, so you can easily catch a bus in both directions, while it is still quite in the night. Beth is awesome. She was super helpful with everything, even got me a taxi for the day for a tour around the island.
