I absolutely loved the hotel. As a person who travels around the world much often, this hotel didn’t disappoint one bit. I pray I can come back again to experience this lovely hotel with my mother and family very soon. I loved my presidential suite. it was enough room for my belongings and space for everyone to move around independently. I want to book the penthouse next. so I’ll save up greatly to have that experience soon, I pray.

Very close to the Gautrain station and the Rosebank Mall. Excellent service and luxurious linen and a wonderful bathrobe and slippers. We stayed in the family suite which was very spacious! Added extra is a little buggy that can take you to and from the Mall ! I can definitely recommend it !! Will be back soon

We included a trip to Soweto which was definitely worthwhile...

We included a trip to Soweto which was definitely worthwhile. We used the hop on/hop off bus to tour the city, gain a bit of city knowledge and also as an access to the Apartheid Museum. The Sunday Arts and Crafts market at Rosebank was also worthwhile.

Mall of Africa was a Big craze for the Black Friday, we shopped till late. It's a one stop shop. Ate at Spurs and the doughnut shop across not sure the name, hot wings from chicken liken and Seafood I loved the shopping experience at Nelson Mandela square. Gold reef city is a must go - just don't go with a wig on, leave your wig at home.

Everything was good.

Everything was good. Except the Bolts disappointed me during my request to travel with one to Soweto Marathon. No Bolt pitched or came to my place/the Guest house. They kept on redirecting me and not coming till i made arrangements by myself to get to the race. It was so disappointing. These Bolts😞

I grew up close to Jozi, so it’s always a sentimental experience to see it again. The mine dumps and distressed buildings in town, the cemeteries and tall buildings, I love it! Living in Cape Town where local government fixes roads and cleans the streets, I’m always a bit shocked when I go up to see the level of decay, but the people and the vibe at least makes up for it! I spent a lot of time in Joburg central this time at the markets, and I loved it! It just has something no other place does.

Hotel Sky was one of the first hotels I stayed in when I travelled to South Africa for the first time before moving into my apartment. It is centrally located, whilst the interiors are a tad outlandish for my sensibilities, they are clean and well equipped. They have a pretty decent gym and some lovely areas to cowork. Plus, the absence of loadshedding and brilliant bell hops does allow you to have a pretty wonderful experience, particularly if you’re a solo female traveller on a work trip.

South Africa is currently experiencing electricity problem, with regular power cuts during the day. I appreciated that the hotel had a generator that kicks in when power is cut. Sandton is also a relatively safe and decent location. I found the staff, especially security guards hospitable. The apartment was also spacious and featured a bigger balcony.

The hotel was the best choice during my vacation in South Africa. The complex is beautiful, the rooms are nicely furnished with view of the garden and pool. The food in the restaurant was excellent and the breakfast was lovely too. In addition, the staff was particularly nice and attentive. I should have stayed longer.
