The lodge was clean and the staffs where lovely we really enjoy our stay there, the restaurant staff was really really nice and helpful specially one staff call LUCKY he was the best he really make our stay and our food more enjoyable. And the receptionist staff as well make you fell very welcoming. This lodge is a wonderful place to be I will surely come back here again when next we are visiting south Africa again. Thanks guys for all your help. AAAAA++++.

What a fantastic place to enjoy some getaway time in the bush and experience the wildlife on your front step. The tents are very luxurious and your own braai place is fantastic. There is some small game roaming around on the plot and for the big game the owner drives you around himself. We even saw a black rhino, very special.

It was self-catering, and they had everything you needed – cups, glasses, knives, pots, and even a one-plate stove. Breakfast was delicious with a choice of continental or a cooked option. Plenty of choice across the board. A lovely light lunch was also served every day. Dinner was delicious, but one night we felt rather cold eating outside. The lighting was limited with only lamps, but this did add to the atmosphere. The game drives were wonderful with Chris. He was a knowledgeable safari ranger who used his tracking skills to ensure we got the best out of every drive into the bush. Wonderful.

We booked very last minute, but got a very friendly welcome. The house was very cute and the beds were comfy. The pool was warm and the view on the water was beautiful. We heard the animals at night and loved it while we braaied and used the fire pit.

    I liked the hot tub and relaxing and listening to the sounds of the wildlife such as the Jackels calling and the whooping of the hyenas. Also, just the general sounds. There are also a variety of birdlife that come through. I enjoy the tranquillity especially in the early morning.

    The room is tastefully decorated with very comfortable beds and beautiful linen. Spacious inside, well equiped and beautifuk bathrooms. The outside kitchen is fantastic, more than enough cutlery to host your neighbours and friends. Proper cutlery and crockery is supplied. The Boma area is fantastic, with all you need, honestly the owners thought of everything. We lacked nothing. PS Wood and Ice was only a phone call and 3 minutes away, anytime of day. The shop is well stocked with everything that you could have forgotten about. I can recommend this lodge to anyone needing a bush break, you will be pleasantly surprised Lastly, very central to Dinokeng with many activities and restaurants close by

    Dinokeng Nature Reserve is beautiful and allows to easily spot the Big 5 and many other animals. Self-drive permits are available at reasonable prices. However, some gates were unmanned, so it was impossible to actually access some of the areas designated for self-drive.

    Really short drive from Johannesburg, so great to be able to visit the bush and see game without driving too far. We opted for self-drives and saw giraffe, impala, waterbuck, kudu, gemsbok, tsessebe, warthogs (right outside our camp), jackals, zebra and bird life. Was too short a trip.

    Only 30 min drive from Pretoria and you are in the heart of the bushveld with the option of self-drive or game drive-in the reserve, with the big five! Our stay in the luxurious tent camp was peaceful with all the amenities needed.
