My three-day stay at Buffelshoek Tented Camp was nothing short of magical. Waking up to the sounds of the bush and watching wildlife from the deck was unforgettable. Best trip of our lives. The camp is located within the Manyeleti reserve (it’s not easy to find on the gps, but is very well indicated as from the moment you arrive at the gate). We saw animals as from the moment we passed the gate : zebras on the road, elephants roaming around the swimming pool (they were there every day of our stay!). We were afraid of not seeing many animals because we came in the rain season (January) but we saw the Big 5 in 3 game drives! Devance was an excellent guide and we learned a lot about the area thanks to his broad knowledge. The food was excellent, and they even organised a special braai for New Year’s Eve.

Amazing stay! We have been traveling throughout South Africa for several weeks and enjoyed many great accommodations. The Orpen Kruger was definitely exceptional! Why: - outstanding service with attention to detail (example: served breakfast at 6 am prepared by an entire team as we had to leave early) - Great game drives in Manyeleti (Our guide Louis had several decades of experience driving people around the reserve) - Family like atmosphere - main host Veronica is super warmhearted and looks after each guest individually with compassion.
