Everything about Muiz Bed and Breakfast is fantastic. Rooms are beautiful, common area with breakfest served in the morning allows connecting with other people. There is TV and books to entertain. My friend and I had a wonderful time at this hostel! The owners were incredibly friendly, always helpful, and gave us great tips for exploring the area. The nearby beach is absolutely beautiful – perfect for watching the sunrise and just a short walk away. The hostel itself is modern, freshly renovated, and very clean. You can tell a lot of care has gone into making guests feel comfortable. Highly recommended!

    Muizenberg is well connected to drive to Cape Town (20-30 minutes) and also to the Cape of Good Hope, or to travel both directions by train. We enjoyed the little cafés, restaurants and shops on the way to Fishhoek. It is was great to have a long beach in Muizenberg but at the time we went there we found lots of seaweed and there were some constructions going on that created unpleasant smells.

    Muizenberg is a big surf area attracting many people who love being in or close to the water. It is busy and active with plenty of action on or near the water. Plenty of eating places with great coffee to go. Not Hout Bay or Camps Bay so don't go thinking you will get fine dining and dressed up crowds. Think more bohemian and down to earth. A great vibe if you love the ebb and flow of the ocean and surfers.

    Surfers Corner specifically was a whole great vibe! A community on their own. I got to surf for the first time. People on surfers corner were friendly and open. Close enough to Checkers to buy groceries. A nice balance of food places and great places to buy swimming and surfing equipment.

    I loved the views, and the marina area is nice for running and walking. I did not go to the beach but I believe it to be good for surfing etc. a small trip South takes one to an array of vibrant restaurants. Really great atmosphere and a wonderful area to run and walk in.

    I loved their amenities. Tea, coffee, milk, still water, sparkling water, biscuits, etc. They even have olive oil, balsamic vinegar, coarse salt, and pepper. There is a small oven with a stovetop, microwave, kettle, and air fryer. The location is perfect, walking distance from the famous surfer's corner area and you are right across the Muizenberg Park which is also the starting point for some mountain hiking trails. Remember to never hike alone.
