This boutique hotel was well situated on a charming, quiet street in central Mindelo; it’s also only a few blocks away from the harbor and right near the main area to explore. Perfect location! From the beginning of my reservation, communication with the hotel was efficient and helpful. I also received a warm welcome upon arrival, even though I came late at night after my flight. The rooms are beautiful, well-decorated and very clean, and there is a cute patio area where you can relax outside of your rooms and have a delicious breakfast. I appreciated the friendly service and attention to detail from the staff. Absolutely loved this place and wish I could have stayed here a bit longer!

The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room nice size and very comfortable, bathroom (with jacuzzi) exceptional, good breakfast, and perfect location.

I like the location we got ocean view and else we enough space the room is big and comfortable once you inside the room y won’t wanna go outside because the tv is huge and I love a lot

the property is great: has several cozy terraces, is clean and small enough to feel personally cared for. The lovely owner and the staff went above and beyond to help us out with a flight issue, that we are beyond grateful for. A delicious breakfast too :)

Spacious, modern and comfortable rooms. Great cleaning service on a daily basis. Delicious breakfast with various choices. Super friendly staff and very helpful support by Dory for clarifying important details beforehand and organizing individual activities and transfers. Great location, 2 min walk from the most beautiful beach on Sal. Would highly recommend for an individual stay on Sal, instead of resort holidays.

Service, cleanliness, room all 5 stars

I have no words to describe how much I loved this place. I felt instantly at home and I could have stayed for a whole month without getting bored. It’s incredibly comfortable, clean and well located. The food is delicious. The owner helped us plan our days with amazing tips and the animals just wanted to cuddle whenever given a chance. I have to come back!

Great facilities, modern, and amazing location

Daniel met me at the airport and took me to the spacious property, which is well equipped. he explained everything that I needed to know. Good location, with short walk to a square with restaurants/bars and shops, then a short walk to centre of town. In the other direction is a small modern supermarket (Sucata) with small cafe/bar attached. Just beyond that is a pleasant restaurant.

The family running the hotel were so wonderful- they were smiley and helpful, helping us to book taxis, giving us advice about hikes & transport. When accommodation at our next place didn't work out they happily allowed us to stay another 2 nights. The views over the mountains, tropical plants & coast are breathtaking, and the inner garden courtyard where the rooms face is full of banana & breadfruit trees as well as tropical flowers. The breakfast is big & varied day by day- the view from the breakfast roof terrace room is stunning. They gave us tinfoil to take the sandwiches we had made from breakfast on our hike with us.

The room was about perfect. It was clean, with nicely arranged furnishings. The rooms were nicely arranged around a small pool and courtyard area. The staff were friendly, helpful and always cheerful. The location was very nice, we ate at very good restaurants that were just minutes walk from the hotel. They packed a wonderful to go breakfast for our early morning flight. We would highly recommend The hotel Savana for your Sao Filipe stay.
