I can’t recommend Casa El Eden enough. The property itself is an immaculately designed haven in the city. It’s managed by the most welcoming and gracious hosts who go above and beyond for your wellbeing and comfort. The best breakfast. Very clean, well located and great value for money.

Llullu Llama is the closest to perfection hostel/lodge I have ever been to. This place is truly mind blowing! The architecture alone is great, but its so much more than that. The spacious set-up with multiple common spaces, a reading room, a yoga space and even a whole mini-spa is something I have never seen before in a ‘hostel’. The staff is really helpful, the food is great and the information about hiking and other activities is plentiful. I want a Llullu Llama in every city 😃

Everything was just perfect! Unfortunately, we stayed only one night, but this place is just great and the hosts could not have been more helpful, the communication was excellent and the coffee was the best ever. This small hotel is not only new (opened three years ago) but also perfectly maintained and super clean. Tucked in a quiet and safe corner, in a short walking distance to a shopping mall (2 mins away), taxis and ATMs, the hotel is also close to the city centre, so we even walked downtown (15 mins) and back in the evening. The beds meet the standards of a four-star hotel, so you can sleep comfortably after chilling in bed watching Netflix and resting before climbing Chimborazo.

Wilmer and his team went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. They were very kind, attentive and thoughtful, and even helped my friend to find a special medical device. Casa Montalvo is located in the beautiful old town of Cuenca, making it easy to explore the surrounds on foot. The breakfasts were delicious, and different each day. The courtyard garden is lovely. 100% recommend.

Had a fantastic stay at Mama Hilda! The host was so incredibly kind.
The property had a variety of common spaces to hang out in and the food provided was delicious. We did later find out the cost of food wasn’t included in the price of the accommodation but aside from that the stay was wonderful!
