Its historic centre (known as Intramuros; Spanish for ‘within the walls) is surrounded by a long circuit of gigantic stone walls and forts. You’ll encounter the main landmarks of Fort Santiago and Manila Cathedral inside this age-old district. Virly and Javier were very accommodating hosts. We felt very welcome and they took the time to chat with us and explain the local culture and island life. We booked their hotel (gorgeous bamboo finishings throughout) while we were on the ferry and it was one of the best locations we stayed at during our 2-week trip in the Philippines. The only thing I'd indicate for improvement is that it was a little tricky to find - perhaps a signage before the dirt road to the resort would help travellers find their way to this little slice of paradise. Good luck to you both!

Had a lovely stay at Paruparong Ecofarm. The room was beautiful, spacious and verry clean. I loved the hospitality and personal aproach from the host, cooking meals upon request and also helping me with organising a jungle hike tour with local guide which was my wish to make (and would verry much reccomend to do)! O yes, and the vegatables in the food came from their own garden, I loved it :). The farm is also beautiful, permaculture style. Would verry much recommend staying here!

Staff are pro's and make everything a tailored experience. Loved to give them decent tip. Well deserved. We will be returning very soon. The chefs are excellent! Rooms are big and spacious. Really appreciated the welcome drinks, the attentiveness of staff and the board games are superb!!! In fact I hope theres more board games as it was really great to play with family. Table tennis is a great addition. The view.

Absolutely incredible experience! This place is a true gem, perfectly located right on the beach, making every moment feel like paradise. The on-site restaurant was so accommodating and willing to make any dish vegetarian for us. The staff were beyond friendly and always had a smile on their faces, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Huge shoutouts to Adita, Arial, and David who went above and beyond to make our trip unforgettable! We truly couldn’t have asked for a better stay and can’t wait to come back one day! My friends and I will never forget our stay here on this magical island.
