We arrived too early for check in so the staff kept our bags for us so we could sightsee while waiting. The Sebel is a short walk to nice restaurants, the free tram line and a convenience store for supplies. It was clean and comfortable and remade each day. When we needed a late checkout on our last day they were obliging and happy to help is out. We couldn't have asked for a better stay.

It was absolutely faultless. The staff, the room, the rooftop pool, all of it was just excellent. I actually did some work while I was there and the wi-fi worked well. It's not cheap, but we'll worth every cent.

An excellent job of honouring the history of the building through the features and interior design in the lobby and the rooms, with a modern influence in line with today's comfort and luxury standards. I was travelling for work and even felt compelled to work in the lobby given how nice the experience was. I stayed in another "4.5 star" hotel the night before and it didn't get close to the Savoy on any level (including price) - It really makes me wonder how the star rating system works as the Savoy is leagues ahead.

Alto is such a friendly little boutique hotel in the city. It has authentic designer pieces, the friendliest staff who make you feel like you're staying at a friend's house and sparkling water on tap (ask for a bottle to fill up to take to your room). It's not perfect (the best homes aren't), but it's a lovely bolthole in an awesome section of the city. Plus, the facade is so gorgeous, and the breakfast is great (chef in the mornings).
