We stayed in the penthouse suite, and it was absolutely amazing! 🏖️ The room was incredibly spacious, with panoramic windows offering breathtaking views of the ocean — we even spotted whales! 🐋 Complimentary wine and a fully stocked minibar, along with a coffee machine, snacks, and fresh fruits, added a luxurious touch. The suite also featured a steam room and jacuzzi, which were fantastic for relaxing. The warm welcome with coffee and juices set the tone for a great stay ☕🧃. Breakfast was excellent, with made-to-order omelets or eggs and a delicious buffet. The staff were incredibly friendly and always ready to help, making our stay even more enjoyable. 🙌 The location was perfect — all the best restaurants are just a 5-minute walk away, and there’s an oceanfront trail ideal for walks and runs with stunning views 🌊🏃‍♂️. Highly recommend this hotel for an unforgettable stay in Hermanus! 🌟

Lovely property just a short spin out of Hermanus. Located right beside the Hermanus cliff walk. The room was lovely with a huge comfy bed. The staff were so lovely and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious.

78on5th is a boutique guest house bordering Fernkloof Nature Reserve, 5 minutes’ walk from Grotto Beach. Rooms feature private balconies with views of the mountains or the Atlantic Ocean.

This was a great location in Hermanus. Although it was a couple of kilometers from the town center, it was easy to go there in our hire car to have a boat trip in the sea. However, our location was very suitable, as it was a fairly short walk to the nice local beaches, providing a long walk at the waterfront, with a couple of local restaurants. Behind the apartment was a direct walk up the mountain, with some wonderfull views of the sea and mountains. The room was large, with a seperate comfortable bedroom, large bathroom, large kitchen area and a nice place to sit outside our room. Although they could make breakfast, it was just as convenient for us to make our own breakfast and eat outside with a great view. Also, there is a very good food shop very close by, so we bought all we wanted to eat.

Situated against Hermanus Mountain, Selkirk House has spacious rooms with free Wi-Fi and panoramic views over Walker Bay.

What an exceptional place to stay in Hermanus! The views from both the room and the main terrace are absolutely stunning, creating the perfect setting for a relaxing getaway. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warm welcome, and the check-in process was quick and effortless. The service is truly five-star—Jocelyn and Ansley go above and beyond to ensure every guest feels at home. Nothing is too much trouble for them, and their attention to detail is remarkable. The rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated, and equipped with everything you could possibly need. We particularly appreciated the thoughtful extras, like the honesty bar both in the room and by the pool, as well as the availability of beach towels and foldable seats for outings. We also had the privilege of enjoying a fantastic Christmas dinner and lunch prepared by a talented local chef, which made our stay even more special. This property is an absolute gem and comes highly recommended. If you’re looking for a luxurious, welcoming, and unforgettable stay in Hermanus, this is the place to be!

We liked the location. Away from the noise of the city centre, but walking distance or short drive to the city centre, restaurants, shops and stores. But most of all we loved that we had a sea view.
