With unique styles and hardwood floors, all rooms at Saintlo Ottawa Jail Hostel have access to shared bathrooms. I had a wonderful stay at the Saintlo Jail Hostel. The front desk staff were very helpful and friendly. When I mentioned that I felt uncomfortable in the four-person room, they kindly reassigned me to a single room, which was much more comfortable. The jail tour is excellent—if you have time, I highly recommend joining it. Breakfast is simple but satisfying, with cereal, bread, fruit, and eggs. The entire building is fascinating, and the single room was cozy and clean. I’ll definitely come back the next time I visit Ottawa.

Directly across from the National Arts Centre, this non-smoking, landmark hotel is only steps from major attractions, and offers spacious accommodations with 49-inch TVs and first-class amenities in the city centre of Canada's capital. The staff was always accommodating. E.g., When checking in, I asked if I could change my assigned room to one on a higher floor: done! For meals, I sat at the bar as I was travelling by myself. All the servers were very friendly and attentive. I was there on Remembrance weekend, and as the Lord Elgin is very close to Parliament Hill and the Cenotaph, I met patriotic people from all over Canada, including members of our armed services.

Located on site, the trendy Albion Rooms restaurant uses locally sourced produce to create an ever changing menu. The bar is stocked with local craft beers, a selection of wines and a number of house made cocktails. For those who prefer in-room dining, room service is available from 06:00 to 22:00 every day. Great staff , comfy/quiet rooms and a superb restaurant and bar. Always like it here, very central for everything too.
