The Central City Hotel Rochat is housed in a historic, listed building in the old town of Basel. The accommodation enjoys a central and very quiet location close to the university and the cantonal hospital. The hotel has a small garden and free WLAN. We got an upgrade to a very convenient two floors room which was great. The location was great in the center of the city and right next to a big parking.

The family-run GAIA Hotel Basel can be found right across from Basel Main Train Station, only a 10-minute walk from the historic city centre. All rooms include a minibar which is refilled every second day and which can be used free of charge. Feels like home. All staff are friendly and accommodating. Very glad to hear someone speaking with me using my own language.
