You will be enchanted by the unique atmosphere of this stylish hotel. I had one of the corner rooms, 206. Was really spacious and comfortable. Breakfast I rated as good. Love the fresh orange juice, the quality of the bread and pastries. As a vegetarian I missed some options, to replace the cold cuts and some fresh vegetables would have been nice.

The accommodation enjoys a central and very quiet location close to the university and the cantonal hospital. The hotel has a small garden and free WLAN. Great Hotel. Very helpful staff. Free coffee and tea.

The family-run GAIA Hotel Basel can be found right across from Basel Main Train Station, only a 10-minute walk from the historic city centre. All rooms include a minibar which is refilled every second day and which can be used free of charge. Feels like home. All staff are friendly and accommodating. Very glad to hear someone speaking with me using my own language.
