Old Town, Quedlinburg
The Hotel Domschatz offers lovely views of the Burgberg hill where Quedlinburg's castle is. The location of the hotel in Quedlinburg's UNESCO world heritage area provides an excellent opportunity for sightseeing. Needed an "on the road stop" and saw this incredible place, and wow, the photos don't do justice to the town or the accommodation. It's a wonderful restoration of a very old building with all the quirky features, but is exceptionally well done and really comfortable. The city is a few minutes walk away and the literally hundreds of old timber frame buildings will take your breath away. Lovely meal next door too.

The place has a great location, within a 10 minute walk from the centre of the beautiful Old Town. The staff - Susanna - was very friendly. She allowed me to enter my room earlier than the designated time, which enabled me to have a long walk around the town on the day of my arrival. The breakfast is fine, and very well organized too, and a gorgeous pot of excellent coffee is clearly what one needs first thing before setting off for more sightseeing!

Lovely boutique hotel in a historic villa overlooking the old town. Well-restored period detail, comfortable rooms, great breakfast and friendly staff made our stay very pleasant. The roof terrace with a marvelous view is an added bonus.
