Set in a historical XVIII century building, Oro del Darro Suites is 400 metres from the centre of Granada and offers views of the Alhambra and Generalife. Granada Cathedral is 800 metres from the property. Impressive and spacious. Rooms were clean, comfortable and cozy with a very large living/kitchen area. Beds were comfy with a memory foam like mattress. Great location overlooking the base of Alhambra, right on the Main Street (Carrera Del Darro) There’s a common terrace that guests can spend time outside lounging on day couches which has a nice view of Alhambra. It was about a 15-20 walk uphill to Alhambra through a shaded path. We were located at the foot of the Albaicin Clear instructions were given by the apartment staff prior to check in!

From the delightful reception staff of this exceptional establishment, with their warm welcome, outstanding service, friendly and attentive hospitality (special mentions although I know I must have missed some names: Javier, Ramón, Manuel, and Belen), to the beautiful room with the stylish and elegant decor and a very equipped bathroom with the best rain shower I have ever used - I also booked a room with a view and small balcony overlooking the gorgeous port so this was an added advantage and despite it overlooking the port, the soundproofing was so efficient I could hardly hear any noise from the outside - to the cleaning crew who alway left the room immaculately clean and smelling so fresh (also a special shout-out to Johana, Luz, Estrellé, and Vauesa) - to the location of the hotel, a mere two minutes away from the port promenade and then further down to Muelle Uno, and a short distance to the historic Center and main shopping street (Calle Larios). I stayed at Room Mate Valeria for a whole month and each week, when I came back to my hotel room, I would find a little something waiting for me as a nice gesture from the hotel staff, it was so cute. The hotel’s motto is “mi casa es su casa” (my home is your home) and they follow that motto to the letter. A didn’t have breakfast at the hotel so I can’t comment on that, but it is definitely a hotel you would love to stay at as your home away from home! We arrived easily to leave our luggage, then we had a place to change and etc. The manager of the place was soo helpful. He created us a maps that we used through our visit. He had great recommendations.
