Very friendly and helpful owners. Very comfortable bed and anything you wanted for breakfast. They even catered for dairy and wheat allergies. Would definitely visit again

Parts of the building date back to 1650 and still feature beautiful period features, such as original wooden beams, handmade bricks and ship timbers. The lodge’s rich history means it has a wealth of character and original charm. Cottage Lodge was very comfortable and had excellent facilities. The breakfasts were excellent and the selections of breakfast meals were all enjoyable. The hotel was perfect for us as we could walk to the bike rental near the train station to pick up our bikes. As we did two days of biking, it worked out well. Having a designated car parking spot was nice as we always had a spot to park. From the hotel you can walk to the restaurants and pubs, no need to drive.

Surrounded by woodland, there are a number of trails for dog walkers, horse riders and cyclists. It is just 3 minutes' drive from the village of Burley. Lovely cosy well equipped room. Dog friendly! Great service by a wonderful team of staff. Comfy bed, wide choice at breakfast and we really enjoyed our evening meal in the restaurant. Nice garden with lots of seating and shade.

Our second restaurant The Lodge Kitchen and Bar with pizza oven, is a beautifully decorated "stretched tent" which opens onto our delightful outdoor Terrace. Excellent facilities, room and the staff were lovely. Even stopped for dinner every night of the trip!
