This charming property offers elegant, individually, decorated ensuite rooms in keeping with its Grade Il listing and most of which overlook the River Derwent. Fantastic hotel steeped in history, the owners were lovely and friendly . Very welcoming and went out of there way to accomodate any needs . The room was spacious and we loved looking around at all the old stuff especially the big painting on the top floor with a few faces amongst the gentlemans portrait. Its a must to visit and we can not wait to go back again.

Location was perfect, quite location but only a short stroll to restaurant and shops. Lovely garden to relax in. Lots of literature available on local attractions and walks in the area.

We booked expecting a simple stay and instead experience some of the most caring and well trained in our tour of London, Peak, Cotswold, and Cornwall. They were personable and knowledgeable. The food in the restaurant was very well prepared and they managed special requests without attitude or hesitation. We would recommend and stay again. The room was comfortable, clean and well presented. The reception was on point. It seemed to be popular with locals and we understand why.

I've always wanted to stop on a boat and decided to book this for my Husband's birthday. It is ideally located in Sheffield city centre. It's a short walk from the train station and the main shopping area. The owner sent very clear instructions on how to get here .The boat was very clean and comfortable. The heaters were on when we arrived so it was lovely and cozy and there are blankets to get snuggled on the sofa. The bed was really comfortable. We got woken up by the ducks the next morning. It was just a lovely place to stay

Oakhill Hotel is a beautiful Grade 2 Listed (Georgian style) house built by the Arkwright family in the mid 19th century, as a private family dwelling. The hotel is located in the stunning Derbyshire countryside, set in extensive landscaped gardens within the historic village of Cromford, in the UNESCO Derwent Valley World Heritage Site. Staff were brilliant. Lovely room. Great food. Really enjoyed our stay.
