Situated only a 10-minute walk from the historic Sultan's Palace, The Alana Hotel & Conference Center Malioboro Yogyakarta by ASTON offers a modern stay in the heart of Yogyakarta. The hotel itself is perfect, the room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. There was tea and coffee in the room with a kettle. Also complimentary water. The staff was very friendly and kind. The location was good I guess, I mean Yogyakarta was not what I expected but it is not a reflection on the hotel at all. You need a grab/gojek or a taxi to go to Malioboro area, or anywhere around the same distance. However there are some restaurant options within 10 min walking distance of the hotel. Also, the hotel breakfast and restaurant is also amazing with a variety of choices. Highly recommended.

Lovely boutique type resort with all modern amenities. Loved the cottage I was in. Big and spacious. This was the at the end of the property. Away from the pool. Lovely to sit on the veranda and read. There is an homely atmosphere everywhere. Staff are very helpful. Food was excellent for me. I like Indonesian / Javanese food so was quite happy to have what was on the menu. They even went out of the way to prepare a local dish specially for me called "nasi liwet".
