Inspired by the styles of the colonial era, Hotel Tugu Malang is located in East Java. We had a wonderful stay at Tugu Malang. Room was clean and comfy, the restaurant was consistently excellent across breakfast, lunch and dinner, and the staff were unfailingly helpful. On top of that the hotel is one of the most amazing places I've ever stayed. A real treasure trove of a place, better than most museums, and this only added to the comfort and enjoyment of our stay. A hotel so good it would be worth going back to Malang just to stay there again.

Room was very spacious and well-appointed. There is a huge bathtub and a separate shower. Very cosy. The breakfast spread was very good and the service staff are always very friendly. First impression by front desk staff, Alicia, already set the expectation of a wonderful stay.

It was allowed to book 1 room for 4 people (2 adults and 2 kids), but there was only one queen bed. Lovely staff helped to organize the second room for kids on the same floor. Nice view, comfortable beds, generous breakfast with a combination of traditional and European dishes. Kids enjoyed the pool and gym. The gym is not big, but enough for a workout with weights and some other equipment. Drinking water is on every floor.

Employees were really kind and helpful in many different ways. They even packed our breakfast for us, because we went to Mount Bromo and we missed the whole breakfast time.

The place, the staff, the food, the location. This is our 6th or 7th stay at Harris Malang. And we still love this hotel. Harris Malang never failed us :))
