Just 500 metres North of Carlow in a quiet mature area (a 10-minute stroll), Avlon House Bed and Breakfast is an ideal base for touring the South-East of Ireland. I didn't partake in the breakfast. Everything is was FANTASTIC! And a special thank you to Tom for bringing my glasses to the train station.

Nestled against the banks of the River Barrow and surrounded by luscious green grounds, the 4-star Woodford Dolmen Hotel Carlow is located just outside Carlow. The dinner in the restaurant was delicious! Room very nice and clean! Very nice staff in the restaurant and in reception!

In the centre of Carlow town, Dinn Ri Hotel features boutique rooms, an on-site nightclub and live band venue, and an outdoor terraced bar. The stylish sports bar includes three 48-inch plasma TVs. Parking was really easy in public lot just behind the hotel. Location was central and appealing. Room was lovely; modern and clean and quiet (no concert that night). Breakfast in the cafe across the court was bountiful.
