Surrounded by beautiful gardens, Shamrock Lodge Hotel is a family-run hotel located in the very centre of Ireland, just 5 minutes’ walk from the restaurants, bars, and nightlife of Athlone town... We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite which was an exceptional value for the price. It worked very well for our family of 4. The beds are very comfortable and having 2 bathrooms was amazing. We also had dinner and breakfast at the hotel and both were great. Highly recommend this hotel for families!

Very comfortable bed, spacious, fresh, clean room with bathtub and a shower. Staff were very attentive and helpful.

Nestled in Monksland, a residential suburb of Athlone town, The Athlone Springs Hotel is less than a 6-minute drive from Athlone town centre. I was astounded when I walked into the room and saw the lounge area, huge TV, lovely bedroom and large bathroom. On checkout I was told I had been upgraded to the presidential suite, which was amazing. Breakfast was buffet style, with all you could ask for. A wonderful stay.

Next to Mullingar Train Station, The Newbury has free super-fast WiFi, free parking. Located in the centre of Mullingar, the 3 star The Newbury is 50 minutes from Dublin. Staff very communicative and helpful, lovely spacious room. Great location.
