Certain rooms include an en suite bathroom. Toiletries and slippers are provided for in the private and shared bathroom. Excellent service, great amenities, the foot bath was very relaxing. Shuttle service to the ferry was fast and quite practical. Breakfast was nutritional and balanced. Overall a fantastic experience~

Oyado Tsukiusagi is set in Miyajima, 600 metres from Five Storey Pagoda, less than 1 km from Itsukushima Shrine, as well as a 15-minute walk from Daisho-in Temple. It is located 2.4 km from Tsutsumigaura Beach and provides luggage storage space. Museum of History and Folklore is 1.1 km from the ryokan and Shiraito Falls is 1.5 km away. Everything was exceptional. We loved the Oyado Tsukiusagi! It had the most comfortable futon beds we experienced through our 5 weeks of traveling through Japan, a beautiful and clean room, and the lady at the hotel was very nice and welcoming. We really love Miyajima so we were very happy that we could stay at the island through the night.

The air-conditioned rooms feature tatami (woven-straw) floors and Japanese futon bedding. Each comes with a flat-screen TV and an electric kettle with green tea bags. All rooms have a private toilet, and some have shared bathroom facilities. Location was fantastic, just a few steps away from the Itsukushima shrine. Comfortable Japanese style room with fab views of the sea. The staff was very polite and breakfast was worth the extra money.

Washington Hotel Hiroshima is a 15-minute walk from Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park and 20-minute walk from Hiroshima Castle. Hiroshima Museum of Contemporary Art is a 10-minute drive away. The property offers easy access to multiple shops and restaurants nearby. This was the biggest room we had on Japan, the amenities were perfect, the staff friendly and the location was really convenient, near to train and bus stations.

We wanted somewhere away from the Hiroshima city downtown and this ticked all the boxes. There’s a really nice seaside coast trail between the hotel and Hiroshima port- perfect for an early morning stroll or jog.
